| BRRR!!! IT'S COLD OUTSIDE |
Mon. Jan 16th 2012
Now that the winter weather has arrived, the Farmville Fire Department would like to share some safety tips on the proper use of your heating sources. The misuse or lack of maintenance of a kerosene heater, electric space heater, fireplace, or wood stove can put you at risk for a fire in your home. This time of year is the busiest and most dangerous time of year for firefighters and their communites due to the lack of education of use for these heating sources. We hope you take the time to look over some safety tips provided by the U. S. Fire Administration, Texas AgriLife Extension Service, and FEMA.
